Margie Elizabeth Conrad, 92, of Bradenville, PA, formerly of Blairsville, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. The daughter of Harry and Ella (Hamilton) Conrad, she was born July 24, 1921 in Claghorne, Indiana Co., PA. Margie enjoyed selling tickets for many organizations in Blairsville especially the fire department. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are a son, James Garland (Anna) of Bradenville; two daughters, Judith E. Zahornacky (George) of Romulus, MI and Barbara Jean Boyden (Deane) of Wilmington, NC; 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William Yankasky in 1984; two brothers, Samuel Conrad and Earl Conrad and three sisters, Hazel Harshyne, Betty Foltz and Dorothy Crusan. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday with Rev. Ken Keiper officiating. Interment will be in Armagh Cemetery, East Wheatfield Twp., PA.
