Betty Bertha (Davison) McAfoos, 82, of Black Lick, PA passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at her home. The daughter of Thomas and Lottie B. (Coffman) Davison, she was born June 26, 1931 at Coy, PA. Betty was a very kind and considerate mother and grandmother and everything she did was for her family not thinking of herself. She is survived by a son, Larry D. McAfoos (fiancée, Kendra Plouse) of Black Lick; four daughters, Barbara J. Warner of Josephine; Sherry Dunmire (Douglas) of Coldwater, MS; Tammy J. Marsh (George) of Homer City and Becky S. McAfoos of Black Lick; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ira O. "Buzz" McAfoos on February 19, 2011; a granddaughter, Amy Bracken; a grandson, D.J. Dunmire; a brother, Bud Davison and a sister, Orzella T. Davison. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Brett M. Dinger officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, West Wheatfield Twp., PA.
