M. Lynn (Ashley) Ramsden, 65, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA. The daughter of Richard C. Ashley and Marguerite (Kinkead) Ashley, she was born February 6, 1949 in Latrobe, PA. Lynn was of the catholic faith and enjoyed watching QVC. Prior to her retirement in 1989, she worked for Westinghouse Specialty Metals, Blairsville. Surviving are her husband, Karl R. Ramsden whom she married on June 29, 1978; two stepchildren, Sally Harris (Paul) of Blairsville and Robert Ramsden (Nancy) of New Alexandria; six step grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; father, Richard Ashley of Derry; brother, Keith Ashley of Harrisburg; two sisters, Jo Ann Ridilla (James) of Derry and Lori Chendy (John) of Jeannette; three nieces, Alicia Taluskie of Hagerstown, MD, Molly Ridilla of Latrobe and Lauren Ashley of Harrisburg; nephew, Zach Ashley of Harrisburg; four great nephews and one great niece. She was preceded in death by her mother. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A blessing service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home with Fr. Stephen R. Bugay officiating. Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.
