James Owen Shanner, 57, of Greensburg, PA passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, PA. The son of Lloyd and Florence P. (Henderson) Shanner, he was born February 10, 1957 in Connellsville, PA. He collected miniature antique cars and was very involved with miniature railroads. Surviving are two brothers and three sisters, Janice L. Free-Winkelman (Terry) of Blairsville; Jerry Shanner of Armagh; Jeff Shanner (Denise) of Ambridge; Patty Shanner of Blairsville and Joyce Shirley (Eugene) of Coral and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jacob and Joseph. As per the wishes of James, there will be no visitation or memorial service.
