Robert A. "Robin" Williams, 60 of Wilkinsburg, PA passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. The son of Leila (Williams) Bass, he was born November 12, 1953 in Latrobe, PA. Robin attended the Second Baptist Church, Blairsville, during his youth and was baptized by Reverend Pollard. He graduated from Blairsville High School in 1973. He worked at Westinghouse for a brief period and had other odd jobs but most of his employment was with Sodecco Laundry for Hospitals in Pittsburgh for 12 years. Robin enjoyed life with his family and friends. Surviving are his mother Leila Bass of Black Lick; daughter, Tara Brasile and a granddaughter, Carissa Capriotti both of Phoenix, AZ; three aunts, Mamie Dennison of Blairsville, Ida Mae Jenkins of Johnstown and Rita Graves of Blairsville; one uncle, Kendall Williams of Newport, NC and a host of cousins and great cousins. He was preceded in death by Latanya Hamilton, his mate of 14 years; his stepfather, William "Shorty" Bass; his grandparents, James H. "Boots" and Mamie (Gibson) Williams; five uncles and two aunts. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. Russ Whitfield officiating. Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
