Jason Matthew Delfosse, 36, of Homer City, PA passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011 at his home.A son of William H. and Debra J. (Trimble) Delfosse, he was born January 11, 1975 in Latrobe, PA.Jason graduated from Blairsville High School in 1994 and went to culinary school in California.He was a veteran of the US Army 82nd Airborne, having served in Iraq and Afghanistan and was employed by Joseph Maintenance Service, Brush Valley.He enjoyed riding his quad and loved his family more than life.Surviving are his wife, Brianna M. (Pearce) Delfosse whom he married July 31, 2010, his father and mother, William and Debra Delfosse of Norfolk, VA; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Drumheller, at home; maternal grandmother, Josephine Trimble of Norfolk, VA; a sister, Carrie Newman and a niece, Lorelai Newman, both of Nichols, NY.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joseph Trimble in 2009 and his paternal grandparents, William and Meda Delfosse.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Joe Lee officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.Military services will be accorded by the Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and American Legion Post #0407.
