Annette L. Ross, 81, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA.A daughter of Henry and Grace T. (DiGiacomo) Ross, she was born October 23, 1923 in Cokeville, PA.Annette was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville.She graduated from Derry Township High School in 1941 and worked 40 years for the PA Department of Revenue, retiring in 1999 as a field investigator.She owned Annette's Creations in Blairsville from 1962 to 1980. She loved arranging flowers and making everything beautiful for her friends.Surviving are three sons, Thomas Ross and wife, Betty Lou of Raleigh, Mississippi; James Ross of Santa Clara, California and Ronald W. Ross and wife, Josie of Blairsville; five grandchildren, Nancy Bankston, Gregory Ross, Robyn Platt, Thomas Smith and Seth Ross; five great grandchildren; brother, Frank Ross of Irwin; two sisters, Susan Antonette of Pittsburgh and Virginia Ross of Harrisburg and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Patsy Ross, Saul Ross, Charles Ross and Joseph Ross and sister, Mary Fumea.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A Prayer Service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
