William Arthur McMahon, Sr., 91, of Indiana, PA passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011 in the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA.The son of Orin and Laura (Henry) McMahon, he was born March 24, 1919 in Marion Center, PA.Mr. McMahon was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Navy and worked 40 years at R & P Coal Company, retiring in 1974.He loved gardening at his home and watching western movies.Surviving are his wife, Alice O. (Dunmire) Randolph McMahon; five children, a son, William A. McMahon, Jr. of Apollo; four daughters, Helen Quick and her husband, Ernie of Clarksburg; Carlotta Audin and her husband, Tom of Saltsburg; Rita Waugaman and her husband, Bob of Clarksburg and Larrietta Spellane and her husband, James of Clarksburg;nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a brother, Tom McMahon of Apollo and a sister, Grace Richards of Salina.He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jack E. and Harry C. and four sisters, Martha M., Nancy A., Geraldine L. and Florence R.There will be no visitation or funeral service.Interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg, PA.
