Katherine Bell (Garris) Withrow, 100, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Mountain View Specialty Care Center, Greensburg, PA.The daughter of James and Hazel (Shank) Garris, she was born December 21, 1910 in Bairdstown, PA.Mrs. Withrow was of the Baptist faith.She enjoyed talking with family and friends on the telephone.She is survived by a son-in-law, Raymond Wayent; three grandchildren, Scott Withrow, Mark Withrow and Susanne Leverbosky.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Withrow; a daughter, Betty Jean Wayent; a grandson, Ronald Wayent; a great-great grandson, Robin Leverbosky and a sister, Helen Grumbling.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Cory A. Braatz officiating.Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
