Alida Mae (Jarrett) Johns, 81, of Blairsville, PA. Passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.A daughter of Howard and Emma (Swartz) Jarrett, she was born August 7, 1929 in North Versailles Twp., PA.Mrs. Johns was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church, past matron of Blairsville Chapter #166 Order of the Eastern Star and past worthy high priestess of Westmoreland Shrine No 18 Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Greensburg.She is survived by a son, Robert M. Johns and his wife, Christine of Blairsville and two grandchildren, Michael Johns and Jacquelyn Johns.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert L. Johns in October 2005; a daughter, Nancy Mae Poland in 2008 and two brothers, Howard Jr. and Donald.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Brett M. Dinger officiating.Interment will be in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon Twp., PA.
