Emma Grace (Markel) Winkelman, 86, formerly of Blairsville, PA passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Latrobe Health and Rehab Center, Latrobe, PA.A daughter of Lawrence Wesley and Bessie Loretta (Barto) Markel, she was born November 17, 1925 in Beaverdale, PA.Surviving are her daughter, Frances "Suzi" Furey and her husband, Jeff of Josephine and her children, Christopher Carson and his wife, Sherri and their daughter, Skylar; Emily Johns and her children, Brandon Johns, Martin Tyme and Summer Tyme; a son, Howard "Beetle" Winkelman and his children; Shauna and her children, Amelia and Kyle and Anna Barbara Winkelman; a special sister, Evelyn Palmer and her children, Sam Palmer and his son, Eric; Debbie Naugle and her daughter, Melissa and her children, Devin and Haley; Jeff Palmer and his children, Nicky and Cody; and Susan Palmer.She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ethel Winkelman.As per Emma's wishes, there will be no visitation or memorial service.
