Teddy Jefferson "Ted" Ehman, Sr., 81, of Gray Station passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at his home.The son of Harold Jefferson and Nola (Houck) Ehman, he was born July 29, 1931 in Newburg, Upper West Mifflin Twp., PA.Mr. Ehman attended Brother in Christ Church, Newville, PA. He worked as a united mine worker, truck driver and equipment operator.He enjoyed his family and friends and was an avid hunter and fisherman.Surviving are his wife of 60 years, June (Kellerman) Ehman whom he married August 16, 1952; five children, Teddy Ehman Jr. and wife, Peggy; Harold J. Ehman and wife, Lori; Valerie Armstrong; Judy Barnhart and husband, Terry and Debra Palm and husband, Herman, all of Blairsville; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Ken Kough of Newville and his best friend, George Lape of Chambersburg.He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mildred Kough; 10 stepbrothers and sisters; a son-in-law, James Armstrong; a sister-in-law, Joan Patz and a brother-in-law, David Kellerman.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Raymond Kerr officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
