Linda L. (Lindsey) Risinger, 60, of Blairsville, PA (Black Lick Twp.) passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at her home after a struggle of almost four years with pancreatic cancer.A daughter of Kenneth and Theresa (Tedesco) Lindsey, she was born July 6, 1952 in McKeesport, PA.Linda was employed by Fairmont Supply and partnered with her husband to get Risinger Landscaping Supplies and Excavating, Indiana, established in 1993. She was also an auditor for 20 years in Black Lick Twp.Throughout Linda's life she was active with 4-H volunteering with Mahoning Riders and was a leader in Southern Sharp Shooter while her children were growing up.She loved spending time with her family.Besides her husband of 34 years, William "Dan" Risinger whom she married October 1, 1977 and her mother, Theresa Lindsey of Indiana, formerly of Buena Vista, PA; Linda leaves behind her loved children; Jeff Pittard and wife, Rebecca Pizer of Indiana; Lindsey Risinger and friend, Ryan Keener of Clymer; Nick Risinger of Indiana and friend, Lexy Coleman and Bill and Jennifer Risinger of Fort Campbell, KY; five grandchildren, Zachary Michael Hafer, Allison Pizer, Emilee Risinger, Brieanna Risinger and Zachary Hafer; Linda also leaves behind her four legged children, Magnum and Flurry; a very special family, Greg, Kathy, Ashley, Andrew and Cahleb Kuntz; Stacey Risinger, mother of Emilee and mother-in-law, Ressie Risinger.She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Lindsey and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Geraldine Risinger.The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A service to celebrate Linda's life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the First Assembly of God, Indiana, PA with Pastor Jake Shelatz and Pastor Dick Motving co-officiating.Interment will be in Bethel Church Cemetery, Center Twp., PA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana County Humane Society, 65 Haven Dr., Indiana, PA 15701 or to the VNA Family Hospice and Palliative Care of Indiana County, 850 Hospital Road, Suite 3000, Indiana, PA 15701
