John "Eddie" Debnar, 72, of New Florence, PA passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at his home.The son of John and Mary Jane (Darnley) Debnar, he was born October 31, 1939 in Brenizer, PA.John liked to hunt, enjoyed working and being with his family.He worked for Blairsville Wilbert Vault Company and McNaughton Oil Co., Indiana.Surviving are his wife, Patricia L. (Kopka) Debnar whom he married February 3, 1959; three children, Shawn Debnar (Melissa) of New Florence; Carrie Emmert of Armagh and Kristine Sloan of New Florence; eight grandchildren, Tony Baird, David Baird, Scott Baird, Beverly Debnar, Sebastian Debnar, Shawn Debnar Jr., Ashley Sloan and Alyssa Debnar; 10 great grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Debnar (Linda) of Blairsville and Donald Debnar (Kim) of Tonawanda, NY and a sister, Anna Mae Ash (Jim) of Tonawanda, NY and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant great grandchildren.At John's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.
