William Franklin Williams, 82, of Indiana, PA passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012 at Scenery Hill Manor, Indiana, PA.A son of Theodore F. and Mary E. (Shields) Williams, he was born November 2, 1929 in Black Lick Twp., PA.Mr. Williams graduated from Blairsville High School in 1947; he retired as a major from the Army in 1979 and worked as a field supervisor for Beneficial Finance Corp. for 27 years, retiring in 1985.He was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church, Center Twp., Acacia Lodge #355 F&AM, Blairsville, Valley of Coudersport, Jaffa Shrine, Sons of the American Revolution, Blairsville Grange #2012 where he served as master, was past deputy of the State Grange, also a member of the National Grange and the St. Andrews Society.He is survived by four daughters, Kathleen Fulmer (Bill) of Clymer; Inga Armstrong of Indiana; Shona Good (James) of Clarksburg and Teia Henry (Don) of Blairsville; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two brothers, Theodore J. Williams of West Lafayette, IN and S. Kurtz Williams of Indiana; two sisters, Laila Grabowsky of Washington, DC, and Karen Kunkle (John) of Creekside.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martha Ann (Weik) Williams on April 12, 2001; a daughter Linda Rene Williams; a grandson, Gregory Gallo Jr. and a brother, Henry Williams.The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Bethel Presbyterian Church, 1470 Bethel Church Rd., Indiana, with Rev. William King officiating.Interment will be in the church cemetery.A Masonic service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 7 P.M.Military services will be accorded by the Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and American Legion #0407.
