Shelley Anne (Kuhta) McAfoose, 53, of Latrobe, PA passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.A daughter of James R. Kuhta and Yvonne M. (Bence) Sherer, she was born May 10, 1958 in Indiana, PA.Shelley graduated from Derry Area High School in 1976 and drove school bus for Smith Bus Co. for Derry schools 18 years. She enjoyed driving her school bus at Derry, going fishing in Erie, camping and gardening with flowers.She loved spending time with her granddaughter, Mia and with her dogs, Harley and Bailey.Surviving are her two children, a son, Cory D. Kirkland of Blairsville and a daughter, Terri L. Snow and her husband, Jerry of Latrobe; a granddaughter, Mia Snow; her mother, Yvonne M. Sherer of Latrobe; a sister, Shari L. Johnson of Latrobe; a stepbrother, Douglas Dunmire of Mississippi; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father and a stepbrother, Timothy Dunmire.There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.Interment will be private.Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA is in charge of the arrangements.
