Nevada "Mimi" (Davison) Ewing, 95, of Gallatin, TN formerly of Blairsville, PA passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Hendersonville Medical Center, Hendersonville, TN.A daughter of James and Hermie F. (Thornburg) Davison, she was born October 10, 1916 in Blairsville, PA.Mrs. Ewing attended Blairsville High School and graduated from Indiana High School in 1934. She worked 20 years for Westinghouse, West Mifflin, retiring in 1979.Surviving are her four children, Nancy (Howard) Duncan of Beaufort, SC; Peggy (Dan) Fuchs of Bluffton, SC; Frank J. Ewing of Cumming, GA and David L. Ewing of Gallatin, TN; loved by her 11 grandchildren, Kristy Duncan of Charlotte, NC; Cameron Duncan of Stuart, FL; Leslie (John) Brieck of Johns Creek, GA; Nancy (John) Linton of West Chester, PA; Amy (Ron) Lavelle of Peters Twp., PA; Jody (Mark) Colella of West Mifflin, PA; James Fuchs of Pittsburgh, PA; Kelly (Mark) Dillon of Baton Rouge, LA; Brian (Trish) Wasko of Brookville, PA; Lisa Connor of Albuquerque, NM and Eric Ewing of Gallatin, TN and also loved by her great grandchildren, Meghan and Zachery Brieck; John Jr., Alexander and Maggie Linton; Abbygail and Ryan Lavelle; Aiden Colella; Amber Connor; Brittany and Brooke Dillon and Shayna, Jake and Jordan Wasko.Nevada "Mimi" will be fondly remembered and lovingly missed by the family to which she was devoted.She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 64 years, Frank E. Ewing on January 19, 2000; seven siblings, Dave, Jake, Jim, Grace, Mitzie, Junie and Fran.The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M. Saturday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Conemaugh Twp., PA.
