Helen F. (Smith) Jones Falcone, 85, of Blairsville, Pa (Strangford) passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.A daughter of John I. and Dorothy D. (Long) Smith, she was born May 29, 1926 in Strangford, PA.Mrs. Falcone was a member of the Strangford United Methodist Church.She worked 23 years for Fours Company, Blairsville, retiring in 1970.She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren who were the joy of her life; she also enjoyed playing the piano, singing and doing word search puzzles.Surviving are her daughter, Kimberly Alamo and her husband, Max of Blairsville; two stepsons, Daniel Falcone Jr. of Murrysville and Gary Falcone of Blairsville and a stepdaughter, Diane Olson of Kittanning; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; five sisters, Vada Forsha of Blairsville; Gladys Boyce of Illinois; Janet Baird of Blairsville; Honey Fulmer of Indiana and Linda Miller of Blairsville; a brother, Paul Smith of Titusville and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Earl Jones; her second husband, Daniel Falcone Sr.; a daughter Carol (Jones) Kalyan and a brother, Lloyd Smith.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut Street, Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Brett M. Dinger officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.
