Ronald Z. Parks, 72, of Black Lick, Indiana Co., formerly of Williamsburg passed away late Monday, January 2, 2012 at the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.He was born March 21, 1939 in Williamsburg, PA, a son of the late Nelson C. and Amy B. (Roush) Parks.He served in the US Army and prior to his retirement in 1994, he was employed by Penelec.Mr. Parks was a member of the Seven Falls Angler Club, Williamsburg.He enjoyed hunting and fly fishing at his camp in Williamsburg.Surviving are his companion of 30 years, Carole E. Treworgy of Black Lick and her daughter, Dana Smathers and her husband, Jeff of Indiana, PA and their children, Breanna, Lexi and Hunter; two children, Rhonda Chappel and Terry Parks, both of Tionesta, PA; three grandchildren, Anthony Parks, Hayden Chappel and Taylor Parks; one brother, Ceibert Parks of Williamsburg and three sisters, Gloria Parks, Felice T. Hoffner and Wanda Smith, all of Williamsburg; two nieces, Pam Smith of State College and Diana Hoffner of Williamsburg.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; one brother, Terry and one sister, Darlene; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Smith and Lynn Hoffner.Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA and from 3 to 6 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2012 at the John C. Bolger Funeral Home, Inc., Williamsburg, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 7, 2012, with Pastor Allen J. Baker, Jr. officiating.Interment will follow at Henry's Lutheran Cemetery at Yellow Springs, rural Williamsburg.
