Nathaniel Edward Hall, 81, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at his home.A son of George W. and Kansas (Baird) Hall, he was born August 13, 1930 in Blairsville, PA.Mr. Hall graduated from Blairsville High School in 1948 and worshiped at the Second Baptist Church, Blairsville.He enjoyed sports, especially baseball and loved to barbeque, mainly ribs.When he was a young boy, he worked for Harry Buchman's Clothing Store, Blairsville.He was a World War II Army veteran.Prior to his retirement in 1992, he worked for Scarsdale Ford, Yonkers, NY.Surviving are his wife, Clara L. (Hopson) Hall whom he married February 2, 1974; three children, Nathaniel E. Washington and his wife, Kim of Johnstown; Tynetta A. Hall of Vandergrift and Debi Dickson and her husband, Rev. Albert Dickson of Cincinnati, OH; seven grandchildren, Payne, Micah, Jeremiah, Tianna, Nathaniel, Cheno and Chance; one great grandchild; and two sisters, Mary (Hall) Williams of Brenizer and Marvis Wallace of Lucernemines.He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Rev. Hubert Hall and James "J.T." Hall and a sister, Ernestine Washington.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Second Baptist Church, Blairsville, with Rev. Ronnie C. Morris, Sr. and Rev. Darren Washington co-officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.Military services will be accorded by the Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and the American Legion #0407.
