Karen Lorraine (Axe) Schlemmer Raupach, 52, of Latrobe, PA formerly of Blairsville, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.A daughter of Ronald D. and Lorraine (Peace) Axe, she was born June 22, 1959 in Latrobe, PA.Karen attended the Christian Life Church, Trafford, PA. She enjoyed spending time with her family.Surviving are three children, Edward D. Schlemmer of York, PA; James D. Schlemmer and his wife, Tammy of York, PA and Cody A. Salensky of Export, PA; five grandchildren, Kyle, Keller, Alexis, Jimmy and Taylyr Schlemmer; a sister, Linda L. Ruffner of Eldridge, IA and a brother, Randy D. Axe of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Ronnie D. Axe.The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 P.M. Saturday at the Shoemaker funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a funeral service will be held at 5:00 P.M. Saturday with Rev. Cory A.
