Hazel M. (Howard) Reed, 94, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the home of her daughter, Glenda Lambiotte in Punxsutawney, PA.A daughter of George S. and Fanny W. (Kelly) Howard, she was born December 19, 1918 in Blacklick Twp., PA.Mrs. Reed was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blairsville, and was a former member of the Blairsville Grange #2012 and Blairsville Chapter #166 Order of the Eastern Star.She graduated from Blairsville High School in 1936.Surviving are two daughters, Donna M. Moore (Bill) of Apollo and Glenda L. Lambiotte of Punxsutawney; five grandchildren, Daniel W. Moore, Gail Farmer, Jerry L. Moore, Lynnette Miller and Charles Lambiotte Jr.; 11 great grandchildren; three sisters, Grace Weinell, Clara Savage and Twila Dunlap (Alex), all of Blairsville; a sister-in-law, Virginia Howard, of Blairsville and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Reed in 2001; a son-in-law, Charles O. Lambiotte Sr.; three brothers, Wilbur, Frank and Leroy Howard; a sister, Ethel Davison and a sister-in-law, Hester Warnick.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Shaffer officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
