Marion D. "Dave" Cline, Sr., 86, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, PA.The son of George H. and Mamie E. (McCracken) Cline, he was born August 30, 1926 in West Wheatfield Twp., PA.Mr. Cline was a member of Acacia Lodge #355 F&AM and B.P.O.E. #406, Blairsville.He was a veteran of the US Army having served during World War II.Mr. Cline was owner of the Sinclair Gas Station in Burrell Twp. from 1952 to 1970 and owner of M.D. Cline Metal Fabricating, Burrell Twp. until his retirement in 1992.Surviving are his wife of almost 64 years, Thelma B. (Smith) Cline whom he married April 23, 1949; five children, David Cline Jr. (Kathi) of Blairsville; Clark C. Cline of Blairsville; Fay Cline Smith of Blairsville; Brian Cline (Georgette) of Inverness, FL and Jeff Cline (Thelma) of Blairsville; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Doris (Kim) Cline; a daughter, Connie Cline Slezak; a grandson; two brothers, Charles and George I. Cline and two sisters, Jean Heming and Mary Dilts.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Shaffer officiating.Interment will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, West Wheatfield Twp., PA.Acacia Lodge will have services at the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30 P.M.
