Twila M. Neal, 85, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Beacon Ridge, Indiana, PA.A daughter of John Robert and Hanna Mabel (McGinley) Neal, she was born October 14, 1927 in Blairsville, PA.She was raised by the Meyer Kimmel family near Elderton, following the death of her mother.Twila graduated from Elderton High School in 1946.She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville, and worked as an aide at Torrance State Hospital, retiring in 1989.Surviving are a niece, Maxine Zuzik (Denis) of Latrobe; two grandnieces and one grandnephew and their families; five cousins, Kay Clark of Gibsonia; Maxine Bieber (George) of Indiana; Anna Martha Kimmel of North Carolina; Vaughn McGaughey (Naomi) of Homer City and Wanda Benning (Charles) of Florida.She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Harry M. Neal in 1998.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Lewisville, PA.
