Mario Ernest McFarlin, 22, of Erie, PA formerly of Blairsville passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at his home.He was born August 12, 1990 in Meadville, PA.Mario was a member of the Second Baptist Church, Blairsville, where he was active in the church youth group.He graduated from Blairsville High School in 2009 and played football and basketball in high school. He was a hard working young man and was employed as a welder for Lincoln Soundry, Erie.Surviving are his mother, Marilyn McFarlin of Lancaster, OH who adopted and raised him; maternal grandmother, Marcia McCoy of Lancaster, OH; 13 siblings, Anthony McFarlin of England; Chanel, Trevon "Sincere" and Zachary McFarlin all of Lancaster, OH; Saavedra Gorman of New Kensington; Mike Gorman of Erie; Walter Gorman of Miami, FL; Sandrell Croft of McKeesport; Ivan Croft of Westmoreland; Timmy Petty of New Kensington; Tameka Petty of New Kensington; Daja Brown of East Liberty and Jaquea Boone of Washington; very special friend, Lindsey Liess and her children of Erie; three nieces and one nephew and a host of aunts and uncles.He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Pope.The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 A.M. Wednesday at the Second Baptist Church, Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the church with Rev. Gerald D. Mershimer officiating.Interment will be private.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mario's name to S&T Bank, 205 E. Market St., Blairsville, PA 15717
