Jason Todd Burkett, 39, of New Florence, PA passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, PA.A son of Edwin R. and Susan K. (Naugle) Burkett, he was born July 14, 1973 in Indiana, PA.He was a veteran of the Army and worked as a laborer in construction.Todd loved being with his family, the outdoors and animals.Surviving are his mother, Susan K. Burkett of New Florence; a brother, Brad Burkett and his wife, Tanya of New Florence; fiance, Bobbie J. Coachman of New Florence; a niece and nephew, Macey Burkett and Jake Burkett and several aunts and uncles.He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin R. in 1999; maternal grandparents, Henry and Elverda Hoffman and paternal grandparents, G. Donald and Freda Burkett.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 P.M. Saturday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Edward Knapic officiating.Interment will be private.
