Anna M. (Akins) Ketner Haggerty, 91, of Harrisburg, PA formerly of Indiana, PA passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2013 in the Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg, PA.A daughter of Robert A. Akins Sr. and Oretta (Stumph) Akins, she was born March 20, 1922 in Black Lick Twp., PA.Mrs. Haggerty lived in the Indiana area before moving to Harrisburg in 2002.She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blairsville.Surviving are her daughter, Sandra Bloom (Lewis) of Harrisburg; two sons, Robert Ketner (Nancy) of Sacramento, CA and Daryl S. Ketner (Debi) of Norfolk, VA; two stepdaughters, Rose Leidig of Home and Linda Enderlein of Indiana; six stepsons, William Ketner of Valparaiso, IN; Patrick Haggerty of Creekside; George Haggerty, Andrew Haggerty, Ronald Haggerty and Gary Haggerty, all of Indiana; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and a great-great grandson.She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, William Scott Ketner in 1969; her second husband, Carl M. Haggerty in 2000; stepson, Carl E. Haggerty and two brothers, Robert Andrew Akins and Alvin T. Akins Sr.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday in the funeral home with Rev. Scott A. Shaffer officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.Memorial contributions may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars.
