Charles R. Repine, 79, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Monday, July 1, 2013 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.The son of Charles M. and Ruth Elizabeth (Berg) Repine, he was born August 8, 1933 in Conemaugh, PA.Mr. Repine attended the First United Methodist Church, Blairsville.He graduated from Blairsville High School and was a veteran of the Army and Marines, serving during the Korean War.He worked as a meat inspector for the federal government, retiring in 1991.Mr. Repine enjoyed meeting monthly with his high school classmates, loved history and reading about the Brenizer and Cokeville areas and helped to rescue cats of which he and his mother always loved.He was the last survivor of his family.His parents preceded him in death.Friends will be received from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the funeral home with Rev. Scott Shaffer officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.Military services will be accorded by the Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and the American Legion Post #0407.
