Leonard J. "Mouser" Davis, 80, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Florida Hospital, Tampa, Florida.The son of Michael and Viola A. (Kowalski) Davis, he was born May 14, 1933 in Indiana, PA.Mr. Davis was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA.He graduated from Blairsville High School in 1952 and was a veteran of the Army.Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Pennsylvania Railroad as a signal operator.He was a wonderful father, grandfather and brother.Surviving are his daughter, Johanna Galentine (Dennis) of Tampa, FL; four grandchildren, Megan Fisher (Chris) of Jeannette; Joshua Davis of Pittsburgh; Aaron Galentine and Kayla Galentine of Tampa, FL; one great grandchild and a brother, Michael S. Davis (Fran) of Blairsville.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wilma E. (Goldener) Davis in 1982 and a son, Jonathan E. "Buck" Davis in 1998.The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake service will be held at 8:30 P.M. Sunday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Monday in SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, Fr. Stephen R. Bugay as celebrant.Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
