Patricia Ann (Lantzy) Groft, 49, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at her home.The daughter of Ralph and Harriet (Finley) Lantzy, she was born November 9, 1963 in Indiana, PA.Mrs. Groft graduated from Homer City High School in 1982 and was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville, PA.She loved arts and crafts, Native American culture, spending time gardening and being around animals.Surviving are her husband of 31 years, James M. Groft Jr. whom she married on June 5, 1982; two sons, Chris J. and Aaron J., both at home; five brothers, Ralph Lantzy Jr. (Roberta) of Blairsville; Dave Lantzy of Homer City; Francis Lantzy (Denise) of Blairsville; Kenneth Lantzy of Homer City and Robert Lantzy (Joan) of Homer City; three sisters, Gloria Dobson (Daryle) of Turbotville; Mary Jane Newhouse (Ed) of Torrance and Beatrice Kauffman (Scott) of Sunbury; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William and Richard.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. Cory A. Braatz officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
