Gladys Trudale (Ewing) Lawson, 65, of Saltsburg, PA passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 at her home.The daughter of Norman and Emily (Medsker) Ewing, she was born May 8, 1948 in Lewisville, PA.Mrs. Lawson was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Lewisville, PA.She loved to bake and her family was her life especially her grandchildren.Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Carl E. Lawson whom she married on January 29, 1966; three children, Lynn T. Callahan (partner Eric) of Clarksburg; Johna S. Dean (Mark) of Indiana and Kathryn D. Maneneo (Dino) of Clarksburg; five grandchildren, Shawn Callahan, Camden Dean, Jenna Fox, Brittany Maneneo and Kyle Maneneo; four brothers, Norman Ewing of Blairsville; Jim Ewing of Mentor, OH; Ray Ewing (Jeanie) of Mentor, OH; Edward Ewing (Debbie) of Apollo; two sisters, Hazel Singer (Don) of Shelocta and Ruth Crawford of Shelocta and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Kenneth, John and Claire.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Elizabeth A. Arter officiating.Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Lewisville, PA.Memorial donations may be sent to the family.
