Caroline Catherine (Heckman) Hancock, 71 of Johnstown, PA formerly of Blairsville, PA passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Conemaugh Medical Center, Johnstown, PA.The daughter of Marlin and Mary (Zahornacky)Finch Heckman, she was born May 14, 1942 in South Bend, Indiana.Mrs. Hancock attended the Tree of Life Church, Latrobe, PA.She enjoyed being around horses and fishing.Surviving are three children, Cathy Neidhardt (Hank) of Clune; David R. Hancock Jr. (Sharon Lynn) of Blairsville and Brenda Sue Silk (Shawn) of Johnstown; four stepsons, Dan Hancock of Latrobe; Dave Hancock of North Carolina; Chuck Hancock of Punxsutawney and Jim Hancock of Black Lick; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, John Zahornacky (Theresa) of Blairsville; Marlin Heckman of South Bend, IN and a sister, Clara Conrad (Don) of Clearfield and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Milton Hancock and a son, Marlin Hancock.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a funeral service will be held at 8:00 P.M. Tuesday with Rev. Paul Poole officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
