Gladys (Allison) Sheffler, 79, of Blairsville, PA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 30, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.The daughter of Leroy and Meredith C. (Miller) Allison, she was born November 13, 1933 in New Alexandria, PA.Mrs. Sheffler was a member of Grace Bible Church, Bradenville, where was a Sunday school teacher, also a member of the Red Hat Society, Lincoln Lanes Bowling league and People in their Prime (PIP).She enjoyed bowling, camping, sewing, baking and reading the bible.Surviving are four children, a son, Glenn W. Sheffler (Deborah) of Blairsville; three daughters, Pam J. Clawson (Randy) of Derry; Amy L. Everett (Deron) of Latrobe and Phoebe M. Dietrich (Scott) of Blairsville; three granddaughters, Tiffany Clawson, Nettie Clawson and Hannah Sheffler; a sister, Mae Jobe of Greensburg; a brother, Ralph Allison (Karen) of Colorado Springs, CO; four sisters-in-law, Dorothy Weimer, Dorothy Sheffler, Sara Sheffler-Chicka and Bessie Sheffler-Lydick and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd W. Sheffler in 1998 and two sisters, Arlene Guntrum and Luella Groome.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Jason Losier officiating.Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
