Mary (Korich) Pittman, 89, of Indiana, PA formerly of Blairsville, PA passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.The daughter of George Korich Sr. and Annie (Kunick) Korich, she was born September 1, 1923 in Blairsville, PA.Mrs. Pittman was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairsville.She had worked as an aide at Torrance State Hospital for eight years.Surviving are two sons, Keith Pittman (Pamela) of Homer City and Kenneth Pittman (Mildred) of Blairsville; 10 grandchildren, Brian Pittman, Douglas Pittman, Mark Pittman, Richard Pittman, Timothy Pittman, Melissa Dawson, Joseph Pittman, Laura Pittman, Samantha Pittman and Jason Pittman; six great grandchildren, Bryan Pittman, Shane Pittman, Zachary Pittman, Lindsey Pittman, Julie Pittman and Michael Dawson; two nieces, Peggy Barnhouse of Indiana and Patty Cackowski of Bradenville; three great nieces, Colleen, Jenna and Maria Cackowski; a great nephew, Ralph Christopher Platt and two great-great nephews, Kurtis and Konnor PlattShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth W. Pittman Sr. on December 4, 2000; two sons, Richard and Larry Pittman; a brother, George Korich Jr.; a sister, Anna Blassmeyer and two nephews, George D. Korich and David Blassmeyer.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Beverly J. Banyay officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
