Dolores J. "Pat" Boring, 82, of Blairsville, PA formerly of Derry, PA passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013 at her home with her loving daughters by her side.She was born April 18, 1930 in Salem Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA.Mrs. Boring loved the Steelers and was an avid Jeff Gordon and NASCAR fan.Surviving are four daughters, Lynn Gilligan (Jim) of Level Green; Lori Wolfe (Donald) of Erie; Lujean Dettorre (Ab) of Blairsville and Leann Farrell (Jim) of Bealeton, VA; eight grandchildren, Jim Gilligan, Jeff Gilligan, Jessica Pickard, Jennifer Taylor, Jacki Dettorre, Nick Dettorre, Tina Mauck and Scott Loughner and nine great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard "Howdy" Boring in 2008.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Macaleer officiating.Interment will be in Coles Cemetery, Derry, PA.The family suggests memorial donations to the Love and Light, c/o SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, 155 North Brady St., Blairsville, PA 15717.
