James Alvin Lazarchik, 77, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital, Latrobe, PA.A son of Nicholas A. and Elizabeth C. (Nair) Lazarchik, he was born June 11, 1935 in Latrobe, PA.Mr. Lazarchik was a member of the Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and the Pennsylvania Manufactured Housing Association.He was the owner of four Mobile Home Communities, Sun Dial Village, Blairsville; Country Village, New Alexandria; Bradley Village, Butler and Laurel Village, Butler.He was a veteran of the Air Force.Surviving are his wife, Mary L. (Yesko) Lazarchik whom he married May 16, 2004; five daughters, Deborah Marks (Larry) of Erie; Joy Lynn Chennault (Thomas) of Greenville, TX; Michelle Bright (Patrick) of Atlanta, GA; Beth Lutz (Eric) of Penn and Emily Balizet (Brent) of Latrobe; seven grandchildren and two sisters, Mary Faye Widdowson of New Alexandria and Carol Wyke of Smithton.He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Nancy Lazarchik, Jane Fentzel and Catherine Lazarchik.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Ronnie C. Morris, Sr. officiating. Interment will be private.Military services will be accorded by the Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and the American Legion Post #0407.
