Rita (VonKrug) Tedeschi, 92, of Black Lick, PA passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 in the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA.A daughter of Edwin and Mary (Bonnenberger) VonKrug, she was born January 15, 1921 in Camp Lee, VA.Mrs. Tedeschi graduated from East McKeesport High School in 1938 and was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coral site.She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Alfred Tedeschi; two sons, George Laufer (Karen) of Williamsburg, VA and Michael E. Tedeschi (Sherry) of Indiana; three grandchildren, Patty Houck, Valerie Arnold and Eric Laufer; four great grandchildren, Meaghan Houck, Michael Tomko, Hannah Laufer and Emily Laufer.She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Linda Laufer; a brother, Edwin VonKrug and two sisters, Edna Fleshman and Violet Pennington.The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake service will be held at 8:30 P.M. Friday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday in SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
