Marjorie Ann (Carlson) Hippchen, 82, of Derry, Pa passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Bethlen Home, Ligonier, PA.A daughter of David E. and Flora Mae (Ruddock) Carlson, she was born October 4, 1928 in Kane, PA.Mrs. Hippchen was an avid animal lover and was a Steelers fan.She loved being with her family and her grandchildren.Surviving are four sons, Donald H. Hippchen Jr. of Blairsville; William L. Hippchen and his wife, Shelly of Homer City; David C. Hippchen and his wife, Brenda of Derry and Douglas A. Hippchen of California; a daughter, Rita L. Hippchen of Blairsville; nine grandchildren, David, Jason, Brian and Scott Hippchen, Michael Kolish, Mitchell Nieman, Danielle Kolish, Carrie Kuhn and Kristy Buige; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dave Carlson of Florida.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald H. Hippchen Sr.;a grandson, Christopher Hippchen; three brothers, Willis, Jack and Robert and a sister, Grace Plyler.There will be no visitation or funeral service.Interment will be private.
