Gladys Marie (Williams) Quinn, 74, of Brenizer, PA passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.A daughter of Crawford Williams, Sr. and Charlie Mae (Harris) Williams, she was born June 30, 1936.Mrs. Quinn was a member of Christ Temple Church of God in Christ, Brenizer.She worked at Torrance State Hospital for 28 years, retiring in 1994.Surviving are two daughters, Valerie Kay Ammons and her husband, Nathaniel of Brenizer and Melinda J. McCoy and her husband, Calvin of Brenizer; four grandchildren, Calvin McCoy, April Ammons, Shawn McCoy and Alexis McCoy; a God-daughter, Wendy Hollobaugh of Blairsville; four sisters, Alberta Brown and her husband, Charles of Warren, OH; Bernice Stevens of Blairsville; Louise Hall of Derry and Elizabeth Willis of Detroit, MI; and a host of nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl L. Quinn in 1992; three brothers, Ernest, Charlie and Crawford Williams and a sister, Alvie Massey.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday in Christ Temple Church of God in Christ, Brenizer, with Rev. Albert Stinson officiating.Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
