Edith Marie (Palmer) Saliga, 69, of Palmertown, PA passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.A daughter of George R. and Mable F. (Oaks) Palmer, she was born June 9, 1941 in Indiana, PA.Edith lived her entire life in the Black Lick area and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, Kingston, PA.She was a devoted mother and loved to work in her flower garden.Surviving are two sons, Robert M. Saliga and Gerald S. Saliga, both of Palmertown and a brother, Alfred King and his wife, Irma of Blairsville.She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clair Palmer and Junior Palmer and two sisters, Sarah Palmer and Beulah Libengood.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Matthew P. Schwender officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
