Andrew Pezzoni, 80, of Blairsville, PA (Brenizer) passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at his home.A son of Andrew Pezzoni, Sr. and Margaret (Zerla) Pezzoni, he was born August 16, 1930 in Brenizer.Mr. Pezzoni lived his entire life in the Blairsville area and was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairsville.He was a Korean War veteran, having served in the US Air Force.He worked as a machinist for Kennametal for 32 years, retiring in 1992.Surviving are his wife, Gertrude Mae (Lengel) Pezzoni, whom he married February 26, 1955; two daughters, Deborah Territ and her husband, Robert of Greensburg and Judith Ann Swigart and her husband, David of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Lauren and John Swigart and Rachel and Andrea Territ and a sister, Jennie Pezzoni of Brenizer.He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Steve Pezzoni and two sisters, Frances Kratky and Mary Pezzoni.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Beverly J. Banyay officiating.Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.Military services will be accorded by the Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and American Legion Post #0407.
