James Dorwood Dunmire, Jr., 64, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Monday, September 20, 2010 in the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.A son of James D. Dunmire, Sr., and Ethel I. (Spires) Dunmire, he was born January 27, 1946 in Indiana, PA.Mr. Dunmire graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 1965 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the US Navy.He worked for Continental Steel Fabricators, Fombell, PA.Surviving are his wife, Carol J. (Cunningham) Dunmire, whom he married September 26, 1975; a son, Brian Dunmire and his wife, Megan of Blairsville; a daughter, Michelle Hebenthal and her husband, (Denny) of Blairsville; four grandchildren, Brian, Travis, Kelsey and Brandi; and a brother, Don Dunmire and his wife, Viola of Naples, FL.There will be no visitation.A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday in the Free Methodist Church, Blairsville, PA with Pastor Rusty McClurg officiating.Interment will be private.Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut Street, Blairsville, PA is in charge of the arrangements.
