Glenn Clements Kepple, 95, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.A son of John C. and Gertrude A. (Thompson) Kepple, he was born August 2, 1915 in Salem Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA.Mr. Kepple lived his entire life in the Blairsville area was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville.He enjoyed watching the Steelers and taking care of his home.He was the owner of Kepple and Kepple Construction, retiring in 1980.Surviving are two sons, Glenn Richard Kepple and his wife, Laura Fay of New Alexandria and John Charles Kepple of Lancaster; three grandchildren, Carol Curry, Kirsten Wilfong and Alison Connors and five great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nora Grace (Dunlap) Kepple on January 4, 2005; a son, Larry Kepple on April 17, 1991 and two sisters, Myrtle J. Kepple and Margaret Kepple.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut Street, Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA Memorial contributions may be made to the United Presbyterian Church, 137 North Walnut St., Blairsville, PA 15717
