Gary Walter Holes, 61, died at Mulberry Square on Saturday July 31, 2010. Born August 13, 1948 in Thompsontown, he was a son of Walter and Margaret Holes. Mr. Holes, a resident of Mahaffey, worked for a number of years for Mahaffey Borough and Holes Tires. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Bible study, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Margaret (Alexander) Holes of Mahaffey; a daughter Rebecca (Holes) Hayward and husband Mike of Mahaffey; a grandson Jacob Holes and granddaughter Kaya Hayward both of Mahaffey. A sister Nancy (Holes) Wollenhaupt and husband Ken of Mahaffey; a brother Don Holes and wife Diana of Ransomville, New York; and a brother Tom Holes and wife Jan of Mahaffey; and five nieces: Rhonda (Holes) McElhatten, Kelly (Holes) Lewis, Theresa (Holes) Shaffer, Bethany Holes, and Tiffany Holes; and nephew Clint Holes. He was preceded in death by his father Walter (Joe) Holes. A memorial service for friends and family will be held at Mahaffey Christian and Missionary Alliance Church on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at noon. A private ceremony will follow for immediate family members. There will be no viewing. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Mahaffey C&MA Building Fund.
