Dorothy Jean (Trenney) Patz, 81, of Blairsville, PA (Brenizer) passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the home of her son, Bruce.A daughter of Anthony P. and Catherine I. (Fox) Trenney, she was born April 19, 1929 in Smithdale, PA.Mrs. Patz lived in Brenizer most of her life. She was a member of Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairsville.Prior to her retirement in 1989, she worked as a cook at Torrance State Hospital for 24 years.She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved feeding everyone and baking her Christmas cookies.She is survived a son, Bruce Patz and his wife, Cindy of Blairsville; daughter-in-law, Cathy Patz of Blairsville; three grandchildren, Jason, Justin and Kayla; two brothers, Anthony Trenney of Brenizer and Thomas Trenney of Perry, OH; three sisters, Audrey Way of Hawaii; Joanne Kubistek of Golden, CO and Eileen Smith of Mentor, OH and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold E. Patz in 1992; a son, Harold James Patz in 2010; three brothers, Ira, Charles and Ronald Trenney and three sisters, Virginia Monnich, Edith Hill and Anna Mae Lewis.The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Beverly J. Banyay officiating.Interment will be in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, PA.
