Howard Graham "Mac" McHenry, 90, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 in the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA.A son of Lyle B. and Ruth (Graham) McHenry, he was born December 6, 1919 in Cokeville, PA (Westmoreland Co.) Mr. McHenry was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blairsville, where he served as head usher for 15 years. Member of Acacia Lodge #355 F&AM, Coudersport Consistory and Blairsville VFW Post #5821.He graduated from Derry Twp. High School in 1939 and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Army.Mr. McHenry worked 35 years for the Pennsylvania Railroad, retiring in 1979.He enjoyed meeting with the railroad retirees Wednesday morning at McDonalds.Surviving are two nephews, Dr. Richard Beatty and his wife, Ann of Naples, FL and Dr. Randall Beatty and his wife, Catherine of Sewickley; two nieces, Wendy (Beatty) Burg and her husband, Robert of North Wales and Marjorie McHenry of Tucson, AZ; great niece and great nephews, Christopher and Tucker Burg and Maria and Ricky Beatty; a brother-in-law, James Beatty and his wife, Mary Louise of Las Vegas, NV and two sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Beatty of Kansas City, MO and Jean Beatty of Blairsville.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martha (Beatty) McHenry in 1992, a brother, Paul McHenry and a niece, Helene McHenry.A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:30 P.M., Friday, August 13, at the Blairsville Cemetery with Rev.
