Agnes Elizabeth (Tartalone) Canton, 85, of Coral, PA passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA after a lengthy illness.A daughter of Frank and Lillie (Chimino) Tartalone, she was born January 20, 1925 in Indiana County.Mrs. Canton was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coral site.She was married to the late Louis R. Canton for 40 years. Together they owned and operated Canton's Turkey Farm for many years.Survivors include three children, Lois Rebovich and her husband, Stephen of Homer City; Joseph Canton and his wife, the former Joy Henry of Coral and Maria Canton of Leechburg; three grandchildren, Stephen, Joseph and Elizabeth; two sisters, Teresa Binando of Coral and Mary Ann Moran of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a brother, Casper Tartalone and his wife, Ollie of Homer City and a sister-in-law, Teresa Tartalone of Michigan.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis in 1994; and a brother, Felix Tartalone.A private service will be held at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA with Father Terry Hercik of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coral, officiating.Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Center Twp., PAThe family requests donations be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Indiana Regional Medical Center or to the VNA Family Hospice, 850 Hospital Road, Suite 3000, Indiana, PA 15701.
