Mary Louise (Sracic) Muir, 91, of Blairsville, PA (Derry Twp.) passed away on Monday, June 14, 2010 at St. Andrew's Village, Indiana, PA.A daughter of Frank and Antonija (Frlan) Sracic, she was born June 17, 1918 in Luciusboro, PA.Mrs. Muir was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville and Torrance State Hospital Retired Employee Association.Prior to retirement in 1980, she worked in dietary department at Torrance State Hospital for 15 years. She is survived by a daughter, Donna M. Penich and her husband, Anthony of Blairsville and a son, Robert T. Muir and his wife, Mary Ann of Wellsburg, WV; four grandchildren, David L. Muir, Josiah M. Penich, Nathan M. Penich and Kristy Muir; three siblings, George Sracic of Blairsville; Ann Collins and her husband, Gary of Colorado Springs, CO and Elizabeth Friend of Deming, NM; a sister-in-law, Mary Sracic of Blairsville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn Harry Muir in 1963; three infant siblings, Joseph, Stella and Frank and siblings, John Nick and Robert Sracic and Josephine Piper.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a Wake service will be held on Wednesday at 8:30 P.M. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Thursday in SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, PA with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as celebrant.Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
