Phyllis Jean (Barnitz) Yoder, 79, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.A daughter of Emanuel B. and Clara A. (Maurer) Barnitz, she was born April 24, 1931 in Johnstown, PA.Phyllis was a very active member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairsville, where she sang in the choir.She worked as a personnel analyst for the state of Pennsylvania.Surviving are two children, Denice Licht and husband, George of Blairsville and Thomas D. Yoder II and wife, Kim of Enola; seven grandchildren, Marlena Licht, Ryan Licht, Erik Licht, Candice Grimme, Sarah Yoder, Mark Yoder and Amanda Gordon; a sister, Barbara A. Eaton of Shelbyville, KY and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edmund J. Barnitz and James E. Barnitz and a sister, Dorothy L. Hudson.Friends will be received from 4 to 5 P.M. Friday at the Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairsville, PA where a memorial service will be held at 5:00 P.M. with Rev. Beverly J. Banyay officiating.Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown, PA.Memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, P.O.
