George Thomas Good, 59, of Homer City, PA (Center Twp.) passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at his home.A son of The Rev. Doyle G. Good and Mary Christine "Chris" (Long) Good, he was born January 6, 1951 in Cooperstown, NY.George was a member and trustee of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Center Twp. and a member of the Laborer's Union of Western Pennsylvania.He graduated from IUP in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He formerly worked as the business manager for Evergreen Motors, Indiana and was working as a self-employed surveyor for Cochran Surveying, Blairsville.Surviving are his wife, Carolyn F. (Cochran) Good whom he married November 27, 1971; four sons, Thomas D. Good of Homer City; J. Paul Good of Homer City; Staff Sgt. Nathan R. Good and wife, Sarah of Wellsboro and Adam W. Good and wife, Michelle of Blairsville; five grandchildren, Zackory R. Good, Maleia A. Good, Molly A. Good, Lilian C. Good and Trent P. Good; parents of Tucson, AZ; a brother, The Rev. Daniel Good and wife, Penny of Nodaway, Iowa; a sister, Margaret "Marge" Diffie of Tucson, AZ and numerous nieces and nephews.Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday at the Bethel Presbyterian Church, 1470 Bethel Church Road, Center Twp. A Memorial service will be held at a later date with interment in Bethel Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Presbyterian Church.Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N.
